Yes, you guessed right, it is Nathalie's Gourmet Studio http://when2meets2.blogspot.com/2011/05/nathalies-gourmet-studio.html. <br />I do not wish to be overtly praising NGS (and they do have some flavours that I am not too enthusiastic of), but they have been consistently good with their macarons. P.S. I get them from their Solaris Dutamas Teaching Kitchen. If you have a chance, do give them a try and tell me what you think. It shows your commitemment and professionalism as a chef! First, I have to say that personal tastes are subjective things and we are also aware that the process making macarons are a hit or miss thing even for the best of chefs. We've only tasted the macarons at pH once, and we only tried pH's green tea and Euphoria flavours, so my feedback is based on that experience.I have sampled macarons offered by a few places in Kuala Lumpur and overseas, and thus far, it is my opinion that the macarons offered by NGS has consistently caught my fancy and is thus the benchmark of excellent texture, look and flavour for a macaron. And based on this personal benchmark, I think that the pH's macaron shells was a little too soft, crumbled too quickly and not chewy enough. It could also be because I have a personal preference for the texture and flavour of jam and ganache fillings vs. buttercream fillings. Correct me if I am wrong though, but I thought the Euphoria has a distinct buttercream feel to it. Don't get me wrong, pH's macarons are still among the outlets that offers the true macaron rather than those shops trying to make macarons that taste like meringues. I will certainly be back at pH to try your mamacrons a few more times. I have yet to try pH's chocolate macaron.
